Spotlight: Livestock Impacts on the Environment




This November 2006 article highlights findings from a report from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations that says "livestock production contributes to the world's most pressing environmental problems, including global warming, land degradation, air and water pollution, and loss of biodiversity." World Census of Agriculture




"The World Census of Agriculture (WCA) is aimed at encouraging countries to carry out an agricultural census during every decade and provides for the basic concepts, definitions and methodological issues."
