"HerpNET is a collaborative effort by natural history museums to establish a global network of herpetological collections data." It has over 50 participating institutions, and about half of the institutions are available on the data portal for searching collections. Collection data may be searched by factors such as scientific name, location, and date and time collected. Funded by the National Science Foundation and coordinated by an individual at the University of California, Berkeley.
