Websites presented in alphabetical order The American Southwest: A Guide to the National Parks and Natural Landscapes of Southwest USA This travel site covers national parks and related natural wonders in Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and California, including the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Carlsbad Caverns, and Yosemite, among many others. Though the information is brief and there are no links provided to the official sites for each park, there are photographs and some maps making it a good starting place for people planning a trip through the Southwest. The photos include Bodie, California; Virginia City, Nevada; Clarkdale, Arizona; and Silver City, Utah, along with towns in Montana, Idaho, and Colorado. Dozens of towns in each state are listed and there's a collection of links to more information on each town. Users can send an electronic postcard with an image from the gallery. More than just a collection of interviews, this site also contains photographic slide shows of traders and trading posts from 1860-1999. Additionally, the site contains interview excerpts about livestock, weaving, jewelry, pinon nuts, medicine men, and pawn. Focus is primarily on the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni reservations of Arizona, New Mexico, and southern Utah and Colorado.
