Find the complete Fighter Command Operational Diaries for each day of the battle, along with many historic photographs and detailed information about commanders, aircraft, squadrons (with their insignia), weather, statistics, and tactics of both sides. Search or browse this commercially-oriented site for hundreds of high-quality photographs of firemarks, which were emblems attached to buildings by insurance companies to indicate that the buildings were insured against fire damage. The practice began in London in the late 17th century and "carried on for two hundred and fifty years."
