Included is an alphabetical list of constellations. Each has an object description, the myth associated with it, a map of its location in the sky, and images. French astronomer Charles Messier (1730-1817) identified "diffuse objects that were difficult to distinguish from comets through the telescopes of the day." His catalog "was one of the first major milestones in the history of the discovery of Deep Sky objects."
