This interactive system provides injury-related mortality data from 1981 to 1997. Injury Mortality Reports is used to "determine injury deaths and death rates for specific external causes of injuries" and Leading Causes of Death Reports to "determine the number of injury-related deaths relative to the number of other leading causes of death in the United States or in individual states." Reports are available by year, age, race, sex, Hispanic Origin, and state and may be produced for specific parameters within these categories. Pronounced "Whiskers," this service is provided by the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
