This October 2007 press release describes and illustrates how "hidden knowledge of the true colors [of this Leonardo da Vinci painting] was revealed by multispectrally scanning the painting in thirteen channels -- from Ultra Violet to Infra Red." A fascinating exhibition from the Art Institute of Chicago on the period Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin worked together. The Overview covers their meeting, events leading to their working together in van Gogh's studio (the Yellow House) in Arles, France, and follows their lives after the brief period of collaboration. The Slide Show contains many images of the paintings these post-impressionists did, along with excerpts from letters they wrote from 1887 to 1889.
