Websites presented in alphabetical order American Veterinary Medicine Association (AVMA): State Tax Summary Overview of and state-by-state summary of taxes charged for veterinary products and services such as companion animal prescription drugs and products, veterinary medical services, and nonmedical services such as grooming. The information, which is based on a 2003 survey to which 41 states (plus Puerto Rico) responded, "has been updated as taxes were enacted since the survey, or more information became available." It includes an overview of major sources of state revenue (sales taxes, personal income taxes, property taxes, and corporate taxes) and features a description of the tax structure for each state.
