It includes biographies of the top 100 athletes of the 20th century as selected and profiled by ESPN, including Olympians and stars such as Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, Jesse Owens, Jim Thorpe, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Mark Spitz, and Wilma Rudolph. The United States Olympic Committee's (USOC) official Web site covers information on the games and the organization's structure. This group, made up of national Olympic associations, "is an independent, global organization representing all Olympians.
