Websites presented in alphabetical order Audubon The National Audubon Society Web site is an excellent North American bird conservation resource, providing state-by-state information on bird species that are threatened, endangered, or of special concern. There are Christmas Bird Count reports, conservation and political action programs, a directory of local chapters, a brief biography of John James Audubon, and classroom activities and other materials for children. Provides background on the count, which occurs annually from December 14 to January 5, and current and historical data from counts. Also includes a bibliography of scientific articles, photo galleries, and documents for compilers. The data from the National Audubon Society's Christmas Bird Count is available for the past 100 years.
