Originally a daily newspaper, it is now published weekly in both Yiddish and English. Its mission is preserving Yiddish literature. Writers such as Isaac Bashevis Singer, Elie Wiesel, and Abraham Cahan began their careers writing for the Forward . The Web site features news related to the American and international Jewish community and links to publications from all over the world that cover Jewish news.
