New Legislation Will Enable Consumers to Compare Vehicle Emissions view detail comment email this

Brief 2007 announcement about New York "legislation designed to increase consumer awareness about greenhouse gas emissions. This law requires that automobile manufacturers affix a 'global warming index' sticker to new cars and passenger trucks beginning in the 2010 model year, detailing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions." This September 2008 press release describes the results from a report that concludes that increasing the minimum licensing age of drivers "would substantially reduce crashes involving teen drivers."
