 This site is a comprehensive and well-organized site for the American writer Hilda Doolittle (H.D.) who lived much of her life in Europe and along with Ezra Pound and Richard Aldington founded the Imagist movement in poetry. This museum "exhibits original artworks from the 'Golden Age of American Illustration' (1870-1965) featuring the greatest illustration artists" such as Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, and N.C. Wyeth. The collection is housed in Vernon Court, "a French chateau mansion from the 'Gilded Age,' designed by Carrere & Hastings." Richard Aldington was one of the founders of the imagist movement with Ezra Pound and Hilda Doolittle, but his reputation suffered as a result of his skeptical biography of T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia).
