 This online exhibit features transcripts and digital images of over sixty documents that relate to resistance to slavery in Virginia between the American Revolution and the Civil War. Each section includes a summary and the site provides primary documents for each subject. The subjects include Gabriel's Conspiracy in 1800, Nat Turner's Rebellion in 1831, and John Brown's Raid in 1859.
