Useful for grant seekers, philanthropic organizations looking for other organizations with similar projects, or individual donors wishing to see how private foundations spend their money. The most valuable feature is the "searchable Database of tax-related information for each of the over 60,000 private foundations that file Form 990-PF with the IRS." You can search by name, state, ZIP code, total assets, or employee identification number; ZIP codes can be entered using partial zip codes (e.g., 9 or 95 or 954). The 990-PF form (in PDF and TIFF) needs to be read to find the details on what the foundation supports.
