The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) database provides taxonomic, conservation status, and distribution information on animal and plant species. America's rarest native plants are housed and maintained by participating institutions. The National Collection of Endangered Plants is a "living collection of more than 600 critically threatened plants of the United States." The site lists scientific and common names, family, and member institution (with links), and is searchable by these fields.
