Both images are shown in 'anaglyphic' format -- meaning that if seen with inexpensive 'three-D' glasses ... they give the illusion of a three-dimensional image. An exhibit of photographs from an archive devoted to Erik Lauritzen. Includes images of a dozen photographs (mostly from the 1990s), a brief biography of the photographer, and a guide to the materials in the archive. A reviewer (quoted on the site) describes Lauritzen's work as consisting of "images that are so tightly composed that the abstract arrangement of the pieces resemble paintings." This exhibit considers the question, "Is the digital panorama process simply an update to these methods?" and notes that unlike the 19th century panorama-maker, "the digital panorama-maker cannot hide from an awareness of the process of assembling and simulating an image."
