Mural painting and decoration The Age of Reptiles Mural at the Yale Peabody Museum This site reproduces and describes Rudolph Zallinger's famous dinosaur mural, a panorama "from the Devonian period of almost 400 million years ago to the late Cretaceous, a chapter that ended some 65 million years ago." The program is designed to introduce teachers and students to recently restored murals in their schools." The site features images of murals painted between 1900 and 1945. The varied mural topics include characters from children's literature, a construction site, and William Penn.
