 Website for this project of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in cooperation with the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG, the Netherlands) in the Fayum, "the area in Egypt where the earliest evidence of agriculture has been found." Find background about the project, which studies land and water use in relation to agriculture during prehistory and the Greco-Roman period.
