URL: http://www.minneapolisfed.org/community_education/teacher/calc/

Description:
This Federal Reserve Bank service uses data from the Consumer Price Index to automatically calculate CPI values across the years. The CPI Calculation Machine will translate the value of a specific dollar amount from a previous year into the equivalent amount in current dollars. There's also a Reverse CPI Calculation Machine that equates the value of an item or service in current dollars with any amount dating back to 1913.
