URL: http://www.ushistory.org/oddities/

Description:
Descriptions of some of the "little-known, off-beat fascinating gems" in Philadelphia. Items include the University of Pennsylvania's ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) from 1946, the Wistar brain collection, the giant slide in Smith Playground, and a full gibbet iron. ("The primary meaning of the word 'gibbet' is simply a gallows. The steel frame to display the culprit's body is properly called a 'gibbet iron.'") From the Independence Hall Association.
