Companion to an exhibit devoted to four important events in the history of California: the campaign for statehood (1850), the Panama-Pacific International Exposition (1915), the Golden Gate International Exposition (1939-1940), and "the celebration of California First Days, 1962-63, when California overtook New York as the most populous state."
