Description:
A collection of almost fifty photographs representing "the landscape, architecture, people, and traditions of Khevsureti, Georgia, and neighboring Chechnya and Ingushetia," taken during the 1970s by Vakhtang Chikovani. "The photo exhibit shows many examples of the folk architecture and artifacts that no longer exist." Some of the photographs feature annotations. Includes background essay. From the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology, University of California, Berkeley.
