Description:
An independent federal agency, the IMLS "fosters leadership, innovation, and a lifetime of learning by supporting the nation's museums and libraries." It not only provides funding both to libraries and to museums to enhance their resources and community access, it supports projects for partnerships between libraries and museums and other community organizations. All About Grants and Awards provides information about IMLS support for library and museum services, including a database of grants by state and a list of digital projects funded. IMLS publications available on the Web site include conference papers and grant applications.
