Chicago: The City in Art

Description:
This site "is a collaborative project between The Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Public Schools. The program is designed to introduce teachers and students to recently restored murals in their schools." The site features images of murals painted between 1900 and 1945. The varied mural topics include characters from children's literature, a construction site, and William Penn. Also includes lesson plans, a glossary, a bibliography, and links to related sites.
