The American Museum of Beat Art (AMBA)
The American Museum of Beat Art in Pasadena, California celebrates the Beatniks, whose "world of bohemian non-conformity and cultural non-compliance" paved the way for the sixties and subsequent alternative cultural movements. The Web site highlights items from the museum's collection of works and artifacts of Beat Generation artists, as well as earlier twentieth century artists who influenced Beat writers, poets, and visual artists.
