Los Angeles Conservancy: Preserving and Revitalizing Greater Los Angeles' Architectural Heritage
Dedicated to the preservation, recognition, and revitalization of the cultural and architectural heritage of the Los Angeles area, this organization's site provides information on preservation issues, an action network, descriptions of "Unknown Los Angeles" walking tours (with online reservations), and great photos of the historic theaters of downtown Los Angeles. There are a map and action plan of the Broadway Initiative to preserve these theaters, links to many preservation-related sites, and a collection of resources which includes an overview on saving historic buildings, renting historic sites, and more.
