Diego Rivera Mural Project
Painted for the 1940 Golden Gate International Exposition, this mural was originally intended for the library at what is now City College of San Francisco at the close of the exhibition. However, due to the war it wound up in storage instead. The five panels can now be viewed online in ever-increasing detail or by visiting it in the school's Diego Rivera Theater. Information about the artist's life and his ideas for the theme of the mural is included. Letters, photographs, and memorabilia are available as well. From the City College of San Francisco. Also available in Spanish.
