Jewish National and University Library
Located at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, this library provides access to its catalog as well as the Israel Union Catalog on its site. It also offers links to other libraries, archives, and electronic resources. The Ketubbot Digitalization Project is its crown jewel. This collection of 1200 ketubbot (Jewish marriage contracts) from 1024 to the present is viewable in varying resolutions and searchable by country, city, year, and keyword. These magnificent illuminated manuscripts and printed documents will interest students of art, history, genealogy, law, and religion. An introduction explains their legal and religious significance.
