Malthus Bicentenary Conference 1998
Collection of papers from a conference commemorating the 200th anniversary of 1798 publication of "An Essay on the Principle of Population" by Thomas Robert Malthus. Malthus predicted that the human population rate would increase faster than the food supply. Topics include Malthus and the Third World, and Malthus and his critics. From the National Academies Forum, "the peak organisation for the four Australian learned academies."
