Pronetos: Professor's Network
This site bills itself as a social network for scholars, providing "a platform to network and collaborate with your colleagues all over the world." Members (over 500 as of June 2008) may participate in discussions and present articles in disciplines such as library science, art history, and entrepreneurship. Many discipline areas have do not yet have any articles. "Only credentialed academics, graduate students, or professional researchers ... can create accounts."
