National Agricultural Statistics Service: Prospective Plantings
This annual publication, released in late March, "reports the expected plantings as of March 1" for corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and other major crops grown by U.S. farmers. Reports include a summary of trends, and detailed data tables. View reports back to 1975 (and for 1966 and 1964). From the National Agricultural Statistics Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
