Astronomy Day
Astronomy Day, held annually in April or May (a Saturday near or before the first quarter moon), "is a grass roots movement designed to share the joy of astronomy with the general population." Find events held by "astronomy clubs, science museums, observatories, universities, planetariums, laboratories, libraries, and nature centers." A fact sheet lists sponsors of this observance. From the Astronomical League, a federation of amateur astronomers.
