Historic Pittsburgh
This digital collection "provides an opportunity to explore and research the history of Pittsburgh and the surrounding Western Pennsylvania area." This ongoing project currently has hundreds of full-text books from the 19th and 20th centuries and plat maps of the area from 1872 to 1939. Also provides census records and other research help. A joint project of the University of Pittsburgh's Digital Research Library and the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania.
